ScanShell is a powerful scanning
engine. Scanning with the USB201, ScanShell is capable of scanning
images as fast as 1200 images per hour. ScanShell controls the scanner
functionality directly, which allow streaming the scanned images at the
maximum available throughput. Using automatic page-feed detector,
ScanShell launch the scan job immediately upon the insertion of an image
to the scanner. The image that is scanned in to the hard disk with
pre-defined colors scheme, resolution and scanning area. The scanned
image can be also rotated automatically in pre-defined angle to obtain
the proper orientation. Prior to saving the image in either bitmap or
Jpeg format, ScanShell automatically name the image using ascending
numerator.
Full automation of the scan process
require the user simply to chain-feed the photos to the palm scanner one
after the other while the image processing is done in the background,
resulting with superb scan time of 3 seconds per photo.
Due to its powerful engine, the Palm
Scanner USB201 is capable of scanning any photo media –such as paper
photos, ID cards and even rigid plastic credit cards.
